How is the Calgary Youth Science Fair Funded?
The CYSF is entirely volunteer-run and relies on support from a number of generous sponsors and donors in the Calgary area. The CYSF receives no school board funding and only minimal funding from the government in the form of travel grants. The CYSF relies on the generosity of individuals and corporations and would greatly appreciate your support through an individual donation or corporate sponsorship.

Did you know that the Calgary Youth Science Fair is completely volunteer-run, and relies solely on funding from individual donors, corporate sponsors, and fundraising initiatives without any financial support from the school boards? The CYSF is dedicated to supporting and recognizing Calgary students’ pursuit of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through the lens of the scientific method. The CYSF partners with three unique online giving websites that make donating easy. Your gift, small or large, one-time or repeating, helps us to ensure the Calgary Youth Science Fair will continue to recognize students for their explorations and innovations in STEM into the future. Volunteer
Each year the Calgary Youth Science Fair relies on over 550 volunteers to judge and provide constructive feedback on the amazing projects from Calgary’s young scientists. If you’re interested in giving back to the Fair and volunteering as a judge, find out more now.
