The Calgary Youth Science Fair (CYSF) Society is a nonprofit society supported through the generosity of our sponsors, donors and supporters. The CYSF Society proudly directs all funds raised to the CYSF and CYSF Endowment Fund.
The CYSF is fortunate to have outstanding support from many individuals, companies and organizations in the Calgary community; these are listed below. The contributions of these supporters, as well as those that provide awards for presentation at the CYSF, make it possible for the CYSF to be the largest science fair in Canada and to promote an interest in project based science across the City of Calgary. Registration in the CYSF is free and all participants are awarded a medal for their impressive efforts. Thanks to our supporters, the CYSF continues to fulfill the CYSF Society's mission to "promote an appreciation for scientific principles and method in the youth of Calgary by means of an annual science competition."
Nearly 1,000 students in grades 5 to 12 from Calgary schools will be on campus at the Olympic Oval to present at the Calgary Youth Science Fair (CYSF). The annual fair is organized by the CYSF Society to encourage and promote ongoing interest in science.
The university is a platinum partner and longstanding supporter of the fair. Students, faculty and staff of the university will participate as speakers, award sponsors, judges, presenters, and volunteers.
