Updated Ethics and Due Care Form (Form 2A) now requires determination of risk associated with a student’s research. Take the Science Fair Challenge - Get Involved! The 2013 Calgary Youth Science Fair will be a special one, as we are returning for our 2nd year at the Olympic Oval at the University of Calgary. The mission of the Calgary Youth Science Fair Society is "to promote an appreciation for scientific principles and method in the youth of Calgary by means of an annual science competition". Every year approximately 800 students from schools in and around Calgary gather to take part in Canada's largest science fair. The fair is open to students in grades 5 through 12. Students normally register through the science fair coordinator at their school. If a school does not sign up for the fair, then parents have the option of registering their child directly, as an independent. The science fair is organized by the Calgary Youth Science Fair Society to encourage and promote ongoing interest in science. The Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers representing the business, scientific, and education communities of Calgary.
